During my junior year, I was able to work on a collaborative project as a team leader, where we analyzed a new and upcoming method of carbon sequestration through oceanic iron fertilization. Particles were modified using organic compounds to enhance diatom growth and therefore carbon sequestration. We were able to successfully analyze carbon sequestration efforts which can be used to minimize impacts of climate change.
